Fila Vintage Always Cool Clothing!!!
Tracksuits tops have been around for years now it’s a simple piece of clothing worn for sport or fashion. One of the most recognised at the minute as a casual fashion item of clothing is a Fila Vintage track top mostly teamed up with a nice pair of jeans.
Fila have been making tracksuit tops and other clothing since 1911 so they’ve had years of experience. Although initially their clothing was made to be worn for sport it has now been re-issued as Fila Vintage and is now considered fashion clothing.
In the 80s Bjorn Borg wore Fila clothing on court coming out the now legendary BJ Tracksuit top which he’d removed to reveal a stylish polo shirt teamed up with classic tennis shorts. This clothing was soon adopted as a look by young casuals around the country, they’d wear a Fila Vintage Tracksuit Top with their jeans and rare European trainers.
20 years later and Fila Vintage clothing featured heavily in Nick Loves film The Business with Danny Dyer and Tasser Hussain wearing track tops, polos and shorts by Fila in most scenes. Now in 2009 Nick Loves remake of The Firm is again packed with vintage clothing and Fila being one of the main players, its cool retro style Tracksuit tops were worn by young casuals going to the match throughout the film.
So if you want to be bang in fashion with a cool look a nice vintage tracksuit top from fila could be the item of clothing for you, gone are the days of these just being made for sport. Casual styling all the way with Fila Vintage Clothing.

Once upon a time towards the end of the 1970s young lads from the north east of England change the face fashion. A phenomena called casual began with the scousers leading the way. Some claim as early as 1976 but no exact date is set in stone, there are even claims that it was mancs who started the casual trend or even the cockneys but we’re pretty sure it was the scallies of Merseyside. One of the major factors in being a ‘casual’ was sportswear, from adidas trainers to track tops by Italian sportswear brands Fila and Sergio Tacchini.
This trend got hold of young lads up and down the country each trying to get one up on one another by having a more exclusive Fila Track Top or Sergio Tacchini Polo Shirt. This gear was readily as it was very expensive and wasn’t really available in the shops in England. This led to swarms of young brits heading off across Europe to raid the sports shops and filling their head bags full of adidas trainers, Fila and Sergio Tacchini sportswear and basically anything else that took their fancy.
It did eventually become more main stream with uk sports shops having Fila and Sergio Tacchini tennis departments. Which took the shine off it for a lot as it was too easy to get hold of and the proper casuals would move onto to the next casual look.
All this was over 30 years ago and many different casual looks have come and gone but Fila and Sergio Tacchini have always held very fond memories for many casual and now in 2009 many lads old and young are wearing Fila Vintage Track Tops, Sergio Tacchini Polo Shirts, Fila Shorts, Tacchini Jackets its all back in a big way but unlike the first time round you can now order it all online rather than trek across Europe, too easy for some of the older lads but a new craze for the young ‘uns who have heard many a tale of the early casual days. Too some its a passion to others just another fashion.

Its All About Fila Vintage!!!
Fila was born in Italy in 1911. It wasn’t until 1973 really to be established and then became a firm favourite label on the tennis courts. The Swedish legend Bjorn Borg wore Fila at the peak of his career winning the Wimbledon title 5 times in the brand. It didn’t take long for the brand to become popular with football casuals throughout the UK and Saturday afternoons were a catwalk of lads kitted out in Fila gear. It became a cult brand with anyone who was trendy and Wham and iconic front man George Michael were regularly seen in Fila.
It’s now almost 2010 and Fila is back in a massive way with the Fila Vintage collection which is reissues of the classic styles from the late 70s and 80s. Nick Loves film the business heavily featured the brand with Danny Dyer wearing Fila Vintage in most scenes. This year Love remade the classic 80s football hooligan film The Firm again where again Fila Vintage gear was to be seen in most scenes and this has made the brand mega popular with the youth of today. Fjallraven started out in 1960 by Ake Nordin in Sweden and has created some outstanding jackets over the last 50 years. Although the brand is an outdoor brand its had now become seen as more of a cool label to be seen in and many of the trendy dressers at the football will now be sporting an Arctic Fox logo on their sleeve. Many of the older wiser lads don’t want to spend £800 on SPA brand jackets anymore when you can get a Fjallraven Jacket for a fraction of that and know that known of the ‘Clone Island’ lot will be wearing one.
With them being probably the best value jackets on the market at the minute has seen the popularity grow with fjallraven and its now a firm favourite on the terraces just as it is in the hills, so if you fancy getting a tastey little number on your back log onto www.not-addicted.co.uk and get a rig out!!!

Original Penguin by Munsingwear started out in 1955 in an underwear factory in Minnesota. It began with a simple Polo shirt it soon grew as a classic brand on the golf course and many US golfers were seen sports a Penguin on the chest pocket of their Polo shirt. The range soon grew and various knitwear and jumpers were added including v necks and cardigans. Before long Original Penguin became a classic casual favourite all across the US.
