Fjallraven Jackets and Outdoor Clothing!!!

In 1950 when Fjallraven was founded it was just a backpack brand but soon developed into a full outdoor clothing range producing some of the best jackets available for outdoor activities. With many other products in products in the range including Jumpers, Shirts, Polo Shirts, Hats, Tents and much more the arctic fox soon grew as a favourite with the outdoor type.
Fjallraven has now grown in to a clothing popular to the fashion market and Fjallraven Jackets are favoured by many lads into the casual scene so now as well as Fjallraven clothing being worn in the great outdoors its not unfamiliar to see it on the terraces on Saturday afternoons and town centre pubs in the evening.

Original Penguin Clothing for the Fashion Boys!!

The Munsingwear brand Original Penguin was born in 1955 in the USA. From what started out as a Polo Shirt Brand it soon expanded and they were producing Jumpers, Jackets, Shirts, T Shirts and other clothing.
Away from America the brand grew and the Penguin had made his way across Europe and many Fashionable young Italian and Spaniard would be seen wearing the Original Penguin brand.
In the 80s the Casual scene in the UK picked up on Original Penguin and for a few years there’d be scatterings of polo shirts, jumpers and jackets by Original Penguin across the terraces on a Saturday afternoon. Nowadays Original Penguin is at the forefront of the British fashion scene and I’m pretty sure most young males across the country own at least one item with a little embodied Penguin logo on the chest.

Fila Vintage Clothing Still On The Terraces!!

Fila was born in Italy in 1911. It wasn’t until 1973 really to be established and then became a firm favourite clothing label on the tennis courts. The Swedish legend Bjorn Borg wore Fila Clothing at the peak of his career winning the Wimbledon title 5 times in the brand. It didn’t take long for the brand to become popular with football casuals throughout the UK and Saturday afternoons were a catwalk of lads kitted out in Fila Clothing. It became a cult fashion clothing brand with anyone who was trendy and Wham and iconic front man George Michael were regularly seen in Fila Clothing.

Years later Fila Vintage was launched as a Heritage Fashion clothing brand reissuing the famous tracksuit tops, polo shirts, shorts etc from the archive Fila collections of the 80s. Fila Vintage was also heavily featured in Nick Loves hit film The Business where Danny Dyer and Tamer Hassan would be wearing a tracksuit top, polo shirt, shorts or some item of the Fila vintage clothing in most scenes. Then a few years later Love remade the cult 80s football hooligan film The Firm which again featured masses of Fila Vintage clothing, with some of the most sought after and rare Tracksuit tops, Polo Shirts, Shorts and other Fila Vintage clothing around.

Now Fila Vintage is again a very established clothing label on the casual scene with some of the older lads who had worn an original Fila BJ Tracksuit Top back in the day now finding himself again buying a Tracksuit Top and the younger lads who weren’t even born the first time Fila hit the terraces are wearing Fila Vintage on Saturday afternoon at the match.

A Chequered History and Creation of Luke 1977 Clothing

Luke 1977 was the son of a talented wedding dress maker and throughout his childhood was constantly exposed to cutting, sewing, altering & pattern drafting of clothes at his Walsall home.

With all of this going on around him it’s no surprise that by the age of twelve he was already adept at using a sewing machine and he soon became interested in the whole process of the production of garments & clothing and began to develop his skills.

Throughout his school years he continued to experiment with the design and construction of garments & clothes and by the age of 15 he had started making shirts for his friends. Within a few months he had developed his burgeoning ability to incorporate trousers too.

On leaving school Luke 1977 enrolled in a fashion and textiles course at his local Walsall College. It was around this time that he and his friends were beginning to go out to the local pubs and house-clubs which created an increasing demand from others for his shirts, trousers & clothing. Garments that were stylish and individual but still perceived as being ‘masculine’.

In 1997 Luke earned a place at Central Saint Martins College of Fashion in London where he began a 3-year specialist menswear design degree. He soon became well known for his edgy, detailed but ultimately practical designs, pieces which often incorporated his trade mark quirky sense of humour. During the 3 year period he attended Saint Martins he became fascinated by traditional tailoring techniques which inspired him to begin making suits. Now there was a real following for his creations from a variety of people from friends and colleagues to well known celebrities.

Upon his graduation Luke 1977 took the position of junior designer with a major brand in order to hone his skills and develop a deeper understanding of the industry, setting down the ground work for starting his own label. He had set himself a target of 3 years work experience but in May 2001, after only six months, he began the collaboration with his life long friends, Simon & Deborah Poole which saw the creation of the Luke 1977 clothing label. Luke 1977 is now recognised as one of the coolest clothes brands for young males to be seen in, whether its at the match or in the pub many British lads are wearing jackets, jumpers, shirts, polo shirts with the now famous Luke 1977 lion logo on them.
