In Paris 1965 Leon-Claude Duhamel watched people rush by in soaking wet clothes, carrying umbrellas which didn’t look a comfortable solution to keeping dry. Leon Claude had a much better idea to keep the rain off and that would also be easy to carry. He came up with the idea of a fully waterproof lightweight jacket that would fold into a small hip bag and the In KWay Jacket was born. In it’s first year the jacket sold more than 250,000 pieces.
Now nearly 50 years since the great idea was put into practice KWay Jackets are seen worn by many all around the world and have now become a classic item. A KWay Claude or Leon Jacket can be found in the wardrobe of anyone who has an eye for a great jacket.
KWay have now virtually disappeared from the UK market again but www.not-addicted.co.uk are one of the very few current stockists of KWay Jackets.
